Full-arch implant-supported fixed prostheses: tradition vs innovation.
When faced with the rehabilitation of full-arch implant-supported fixed prostheses, the prosthodontists has to make critical choices, like the number of implants required, the type of retention, the occlusal scheme, or the material selection.
Nowadays another important decision regards the construction procedures of the prostheses, which means choosing between CAD-CAM or traditional protocols.
The aim of the presentation is to illustrate a case rehabilitated with full-arch maxillary and mandibular implant-supported fixed prostheses, and to explain and discuss the choices made during the entire treatment.
The dental office-laboratory protocol, which includes both traditional and digital procedures, will be described in detailed and commented in view of future developments.
